Illustration is an art that requires both one’s own creativity as well as technical and theoretical know-how to fully maximize it. Designing a character, for example, involves attention to several aspects such as anatomy and body language along with the narrative that they will tell. Our advanced studio and lecture course will cover both principles of character design and techniques for different visual narrative formats. It will involve conceptual approaches in illustration through storytelling and figure drawing as well as creating meaning through visuals.
A one-year free Adobe CC will also be given to aid you in acquiring the professional discipline needed to create your character’s story.
“CIIT’s Digital Illustration class was a big help for me to jumpstart the career I’ve always wanted! Joining this class as a non-experienced designer has been a challenge but hugely rewarding! I was able to learn a lot of things, and after completing the course, I am now able to create the artwork I’m most amazed by! I even now have my portfolio – the very thing that previously prevented me from applying for a designer job.”
– Kristinne Cas (Digital Illustration student)
